Domestic and foreign agricultural product market dynamics for the 44th week of 2025 - Domestic meat and vegetable prices rise; Egg prices continue to fall; International prices of a variety of major agricultural products rise.
1. Domestic wholesale market transactions for fresh agricultural products
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs monitoring,2025 yearThe first44Week(October 27 - November 2, 2025, same as the previous)The "Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index 200" was 124.45 (with 2015 as 100), up 2.96 points from the previous week, year-on-yearLow1.88 points; the "Wholesale Price Index for 'Basket of Goods' Products" was 126.35 (with 2015 as 100), up 3.48 points from the previous week, and 1.99 points lower than the same period last year.
1.Pig, cattle and sheep meat prices rise slightly, egg prices continue to fall. The weekly average price of pork in the wholesale market is 17.97 RMB per kilogram, up 0.6% month-on-month and down 26.8% year-on-year; the weekly average price of beef in the wholesale market is 66.28 RMB per kilogram, up 0.4% month-on-month and up 8.6% year-on-year; the weekly average price of mutton in the wholesale market is 62.77 RMB per kilogram, up 1.7% month-on-month and up 6.7% year-on-year; white chickenWholesale marketthe average price per kilogram was 17.55 RMB, down 0.3% month-on-month and 1.8% lower than the same period last year.The average price per kilogram of eggs in the wholesale marketwas 7.30 RMB, down 1.1%,has been falling slightly for 5 consecutive weeks, down 13.1% cumulatively and 30.4% lower than the same period last year.
2.The average price of vegetables continues to rise.Key monitoring of28 kinds of vegetables with an average price of 5.66 RMB per kilogram, up 7.0% month-on-month, has been rising for 3 consecutive weeks, up 15.3% cumulatively, and 4.4% higher than the same period last year. By variety, 24 kinds of vegetables have risen, 2 kinds have remained unchanged, and 2 kinds have fallen. Among them,Caesar, spinach, celery, eggplant and chives prices increased significantly,up month-on-month.18.0%, 17.0%, 16.2%, 16.2% and 16.2%,The prices of lettuce, celery, Chinese cabbage and okra increased by 14.5%, 13.8%, 11.8% and 11.4% respectively on a month-on-month basis, while the prices of the rest of the varieties increased by less than 10%; the prices of ginger and garlic were basically flat on a month-on-month basis; the prices of shiitake mushrooms and lotus roots decreased by 1.1% and 1.0% respectively on a month-on-month basis.

A variety of aquatic product prices have declined slightly.Bigeye, common carp, white carp, mixed carp and grass carp wholesale marketthe average price per kilogram is39.79 RMB, 19.49 RMB, 10.02 RMB, 16.63 RMB and 16.86 RMB, respectively, compared to the previous periodDropped by 1.3%, 1.2%, 0.6%, 0.4% and 0.3%; the wholesale market average price per kilogram of hairtail and carp was 42.98 RMB and 13.87 RMB respectively, an increase of 1.4% and 0.3% respectively compared to the previous week.
4. The average price of fruits fell slightly. The average price of 6 key fruits monitored was 7.03 RMB per kilogram, a decrease of 0.6% compared to the previous week and 1.7% lower than the same period last year. By variety,Pineapple, banana,duck, pear and Fuji apple weekly average pricecompared to the previous period, respectivelyFell3.6%, 2.4%, 2.2% and 2.2%; the average price of watermelon and red winberry increased by 7.7% and 1.3% week by week.
2. International bulk agricultural products
1.Various bulk agricultural products are rising in price.The closing weekly average prices of soybeans, wheat and corn recent futures contracts at the Chicago Board of Trade in the United States are $398, $194 and $170 per ton, respectively, up 5%, 4% and 2%, respectively, higher11%, lower 7% and higher 5% than the same period last year; the international cotton price index (SM grade) was 75.80 cents per pound (US$1,642 per ton),up2% month-on-month, down 8% year-on-year; the weekly average FOB price of 100%B and 5% broken rice from Thailand was US$370 and US$355 per ton, respectively, up 1% month-on-month, down 30% and 31% year-on-year.
2.White sugar, soybean oil and palm oil prices fell on a month-on-month basis. The weekly average price of white sugar of the International Sugar Council was 14.26 cents per pound (314 US dollars per ton), down 5% month-on-month and 32% lower year-on-year; Soybean oil futures contract on the Chicago Board of Trade closed at an average price of 1100 US dollars per ton in the latest week, down 1% month-on-month and up 13% year-on-year; the weekly average ex-factory price of palm oil in Malaysia at the port of Rotterdam was 1332 US dollars per ton, down 1% month-on-month and up 2% year-on-year.
