SunSirs: Global Crude Steel Output Drops 1.6% YoY in September

According to the World Steel Association's statistics on 70 member countries, in September, the world's crude steel production was 141.8 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.6%. The cumulative production for the first three quarters was 1.3738 billion tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.6%.
The world's largest crude steel producer, China, produced 73.5 million tons in September, a year-on-year decrease of 4.6%. The cumulative production for the first three quarters was 746.3 million tons, a decrease of 2.9%.
India's production in September was 13.6 million tons, an increase of 13.2%. The cumulative production for the first three quarters was 122.4 million tons, an increase of 10.5%.
Japan's production in September was 6.4 million tons, a decrease of 3.7%. The cumulative production for the first three quarters was 60.5 million tons, a decrease of 4.5%.
South Korea's production in September was 5 million tons, a decrease of 2.4%. The cumulative production for the first three quarters was 46.1 million tons, a decrease of 3.4%.
Iran's production in September was 2.3 million tons, an increase of 6.0%. The cumulative production for the first three quarters was 22.1 million tons, a decrease of 2.7%.
Turkey's production in September was 3.2 million tons, an increase of 3.3%. The cumulative production for the first three quarters was 28.1 million tons, an increase of 0.6%.
The 27 countries of the European Union produced 101 million tons in September, a decrease of 4.5%; the cumulative production for the first three quarters was 946 million tons, a decrease of 3.7%. Among them, Germany's production in September was 3 million tons, a decrease of 0.6%; the cumulative production for the first three quarters was 25.4 million tons, a decrease of 10.7%.
Russia's production in September was 52 million tons, a decrease of 3.8%. The cumulative production for the first three quarters was 51.3 million tons, a decrease of 4.7%.
The United States' production in September was 6.9 million tons, an increase of 6.7%. The cumulative production for the first three quarters was 61.4 million tons, an increase of 2.1%.
Brazil's production in September was 2.8 million tons, a decrease of 3.2%. The cumulative production for the first three quarters was 25.0 million tons, a decrease of 1.7%.
