Domestic coconut shell activated charcoal manufacturers' prices remain stable this week. The ex-factory price of coconut shell activated charcoal for water purification in East China is between 9,500 and 13,000 RMB/ton. Coconut shell activated charcoal is in strong demand in water treatment, air purification, sodium ion batteries and other fields. The demand for coconut shell carbonized materials has increased, supporting prices. However, the high price of coconut shell activated charcoal limits the enthusiasm of downstream transactions, the market is not smooth, and prices remain high and volatile.

Prices for wood and bamboo activated charcoal fluctuate minimally. Physically processed wood and bamboo charcoal are supported by cost, and factory quotes are generally stable. Major coconut-producing countries in Southeast Asia are experiencing raw material shortages due to natural disasters, policy adjustments, and other factors. Although some countries have plans to expand production, the tight supply situation is unlikely to change in the short term, and prices are expected to remain high.

Market outlook

Domestic coconut shell activated charcoal transactions are limited, and it is expected that the price of activated charcoal may fluctuate at a high level in the short term.
