SunSirs: China's Polyester Yarn Imports Surge While Exports Decline

According to customs data: In September 2025, China's total imports of pure polyester yarn reached 214.99 tons, an increase of 115.02 tons from the previous month, representing a month-on-month rise of 115.06%. Compared with the same period last year, imports increased by 90.41 tons, marking a year-on-year growth of 72.58%.
Cumulative imports from January to September 2025 reached 1,617.18 tons. In September 2025, China's total exports of pure polyester yarn amounted to 38,270.77 tons, decreasing by 4,777.65 tons from the previous month (a month-on-month decline of 11.10%) but increasing by 6,552.19 tons compared to the same period last year (a year-on-year increase of 20.66%).
