According to the SunSirs Commodity Market Analysis System, as of the 22nd, the price of ethyl acetate was 5,493.33 RMB/ton, down 36.67 RMB/ton, or 0.66%, from 5,530.00 RMB/ton on October 15th. Ethyl acetate production facilities remained unchanged, supply chains were operating steadily, and downstream demand was weak. Simultaneously, falling raw material prices had contributed to the downward trend in ethyl acetate prices. 

Analysis review 

Recently, most domestic ethyl acetate plants maintained their previous status, and the on-site capacity utilization rate had not fluctuated much. As the price of ethyl acetate rose, the good news in the market had gradually stabilized. Although the supply had tightened, there had been no obvious follow-up in the downstream market demand, and the acceptance of high prices was general. In order to maintain shipments, some manufacturers had lowered the center of ethyl acetate transactions. At the same time, the price of upstream acetic acid declined, the cost support had weakened, and the ethyl acetate market was running weakly.

Market outlook

Looking ahead, downstream ethyl acetate manufacturers are entering the market on demand, creating a subdued trading atmosphere. However, low plant utilization rates are providing some support for supply, leading to a market oscillation between supply and demand. Ethyl acetate prices are expected to be consolidated to weaken in the short term, with specific attention focused on fluctuations in plant conditions and downstream follow-up.
