On October 15, the DBP benchmark price of SunSirs was 6,901.67 RMB/ton, down 1.43% from the beginning of this month (7,001.67 RMB/ton).
On October 15, the DBP market in Jiangsu Province was weak and consolidated, with an offer price of 6,900 RMB/ton. The DBP market in Shandong Province was weak and consolidated, with an offer price of 6,800 RMB/ton. The DBP market in Zhejiang Province was weak and consolidated, with an offer price of 7,100 RMB/ton.
Analysis review
On October 15th, prices for n-butanol, the raw material for the plasticizer DBP, fluctuated downward. Phthalic anhydride prices also fluctuated downward, while isooctanol prices stabilized. This weakened the cost support for DBP raw materials. PVC prices fluctuated and consolidated, driven by weak downstream demand. DBP plant equipment utilization remained low, with ample DBP supply and low DBP factory inventories. Downstream customers showed little enthusiasm for purchasing, with transaction prices subject to negotiation and ranging from 6,800 to 7,100 RMB/ton. DBP prices consolidated weakly, with downward pressure remaining and upward momentum waning.
