SunSirs: Methanol Market Trends in Some Regions of China on October 15

On October 15, the benchmark price of methanol on SunSirs was 2,260.00 RMB/ton, up 1.01% from the beginning of this month (2,237.50 RMB/ton).
The market price of methanol in Dongying, Shandong, was in the range of 2,280-2,300 RMB/ton in cash, delivered. The market price of methanol in Zibo, Shandong, was in the range of 2,300 RMB/ton in cash delivered. Methanol factories in central Shandong were quoting 2,340 RMB/ton ex-factory for delivery. The ex-factory price of methanol in Jining was 2,270-2,270 RMB/ton in cash, delivered, while the price in Linyi was 2,310-2,330 RMB/ton in cash, delivered.
The methanol market in Fuyang, Anhui Province had reached 2,280-2,300 RMB/ton, up about 10 RMB/ton, and actual orders can be negotiated.
On October 15, 2025, the closing price of methanol futures on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange rose. The main methanol futures contract, 2601, opened at 2,275 RMB/ton, reached a high of 2,309 RMB/ton, a low of 2,266 RMB/ton, and closed at 2,298 RMB/ton, up 1,000 RMB/ton, or 0.04%, from the previous day's settlement. Trading volume was 736,803 lots, with open interest at 1,038,960, a daily increase of -12,400.
