Price trend

According to the SunSirs Commodity Market Analysis System, as of October 15, 2025, the reference price of n-butanol in Shandong Province was 5,566 RMB/ton. Compared with October 9 (5,666 RMB/ton), the price decreased by 100 RMB/ton, a decrease of 1.76%. Compared with October 1 (5,850 RMB/ton), the price decreased by 284 RMB/ton, a decrease of 4.84%.

Shandong n-butanol market negotiation focus fell

According to the SunSirs' commodity market analysis system, the domestic n-butanol market in Shandong Province showed an overall weak and downward trend this week. During the week, Shandong n-butanol factories and suppliers slightly lowered their shipping prices by approximately 50-100 RMB/ton. As of October 15th, the reference price for n-butanol in Shandong Province was around 5,600-5,650 RMB/ton.

Market Factor Analysis

On the supply side: Initially, n-butanol market shipments were hindered, leading to rising on-site inventories. This week, supply pressure has become apparent, with factories actively reducing prices to boost shipments. Consequently, the overall supply side has exerted a negative impact on the market.

Demand: As of October 15, the downstream operation of n-butanol was cautious, mainly digesting the previous raw materials. The downstream inquiry atmosphere was general, and most of the purchases were made on dips or just-in-time needs. The demand side provided limited support for the n-butanol market.

Market outlook

As of October 15, the trading atmosphere of n-butanol in the market was relatively light, and the mentality of the industry players was average. The n-butanol data analyst of SunSirs predicts that in the short term, the n-butanol market in Shandong Province in China will mainly operate in a weaker consolidation trend, and more attention should be paid to the changes in the news on the supply and demand sides.
