On October 13, the DBP market in Jiangsu Province weakened but stabilized, with prices quoted at 7,000 RMB/ton. The DBP market in Shandong Province weakened but stabilized, with prices quoted at 6,800 RMB/ton. The DBP market in Zhejiang Province weakened but stabilized, with prices quoted at 7,150 RMB/ton.
Analysis review
On October 13th, prices for n-butanol, the raw material for the plasticizer DBP, fluctuated and stabilized. Phthalic anhydride prices fluctuated and declined, while isooctanol prices rebounded. DBP raw material cost support remained. PVC prices fluctuated and consolidated, with weak downstream demand and DBP plant equipment utilization rates consolidating at low levels. DBP supply was sufficient, DBP factory inventories were low, and downstream customers were generally enthusiastic about purchasing. Transaction prices were subject to negotiation, ranging from 6,800 to 7,150 RMB/ton.
