SunSirs: China PTA Import and Export Statistics for August 2025

In August 2025, China exported 299,100 metric tons of PTA, a decrease of 75,200 metric tons compared to the previous month, representing a decline of 20.08%. From January to August 2025, cumulative exports totaled 2,530,200 metric tons, down by 513,300 metric tons year-on-year, reflecting a decrease of 16.86%.
In August 2025, China imported 0.03 million tons of PTA, a decrease of 0.26 million tons from the previous month, representing a 90.94% decline. From January to August 2025, cumulative imports reached 1.72 million tons, an increase of 0.46 million tons compared to the same period last year, marking a 36.52% rise.
As an integrated internet platform providing benchmark prices, on September 26, the benchmark price of PTA on SunSirs was 4,635.00 RMB/ton, down 5.24% from the beginning of this month (4,891.25 RMB/ton).
