SunSirs: China Produced 122.77 Million Tons of Steel in August, a Year-on-Year Increase of 9.7%

In August 2025, China produced 77.37 million tons of crude steel, a year-on-year decrease of 0.7%, with a daily output of 2.4958 million tons and a month-on-month decrease of 2.9%. Pig iron production reached 69.79 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.0%, with a daily output of 2.2513 million tons and a month-on-month decrease of 1.4%. Steel products produced 122.77 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.7%, with a daily output of 3.9603 million tons and a month-on-month decrease of 0.1%.
From January to August, China produced a total of 672 million tons of crude steel, a year-on-year decrease of 2.8%, and a total daily output of 2.7647 million tons; produced 579 million tons of pig iron, a year-on-year decrease of 1.1%, and a total daily output of 2.3830 million tons; produced 982 million tons of steel, a year-on-year increase of 5.5%, and a total daily output of 4.0419 million tons.
