On September 17, the DBP market in Jiangsu Province consolidated at 7,100 RMB/ton. The DBP market in Shandong Province consolidated at 7,000 RMB/ton. The DBP market in Zhejiang Province stabilized at 7,200 RMB/ton.
Analysis review
On September 17th, prices for n-butanol, the raw material for plasticizer DBP, stabilized after weakening, while prices for phthalic anhydride fluctuated and stabilized. Prices for isooctanol fluctuated and consolidated, weakening the cost support for DBP raw materials. PVC prices fluctuated and consolidated, driven by weak downstream demand. DBP plant equipment utilization remained stable, supply was adequate, and DBP factory inventories were low. Downstream customers showed little enthusiasm for purchasing, with transaction prices subject to negotiation, ranging from 7,000 to 7,200 RMB/ton. DBP prices were consolidating, the downward pressure on DBP market still existed, the upward momentum had weakened, and the DBP market was consolidating.
