SunSirs: Cambodia's Latex Exports Fell 12% Year-on-year in the First Eight Months of 2025
September 12 2025 09:53:11     SunSirs (Selena)According to the latest report from the General Rubber Department of Cambodia, Cambodia's latex exports fell 12% year-on-year to 183,910 tons in the first eight months of 2025, compared to 209,733 tons in the same period last year.
Data shows that Cambodia earned $328.3 million from latex exports in the first eight months, the same as the same period last year. The average export cost was $1,786 per ton, approximately $220 higher than the same period last year.
The country's rubber is primarily exported to Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, and China.
Although exports declined in the first eight months, domestic latex consumption surged 89% to 75,523 tons, generating nearly $137 million in domestic sales revenue.
Currently, Cambodia has a total of 425,443 hectares of rubber plantations, of which 330,259 hectares, or 77.6%, are harvestable.
