SunSirs: Key Steel Producers Saw Daily Crude Steel Output Decline in Late August

During the latter half of August 2025, key statistical steel enterprises collectively produced 21.41 million tons of crude steel, averaging 1.947 million tons per day—a 8.0% decrease in daily output compared to the previous period.
Pig iron production totaled 20.10 million tons, averaging 1.827 million tons per day, representing a 5.1% decline in daily output. and 23.52 million tons of steel products, averaging 2.138 million tons per day, a 4.4% increase from the previous period.
Based on these figures, it is estimated that nationwide daily crude steel production for this period was 2.42 million tons, down 9.5% month-on-month; daily pig iron production was 2.20 million tons, down 5.3% month-on-month; and daily steel product production was 4.15 million tons, down 0.6% month-on-month.
