SunSirs: The Import of EU Soybeans for the year 2024/2025 Is Approximately 1.96 Million Tons as of August 24
September 02 2025 14:03:08     SunSirs (Selena)According to data from the European Commission, the overall import volume of EU oilseeds and vegetable oils in 2025/2026 is lower than last year, reflecting an expected increase in domestic oilseed production and crushing. As of August 24th, the import volume of soybeans from the 27 EU countries in 2024/2025 (starting from July 1st) was approximately 1.96 million tons, a decrease of 8% compared to the same period in 2024/2025 and a decrease of 6% a week ago.
The import volume of rapeseed is about 390,000 tons, a decrease of 41% year-on-year, and a decrease of 42% a week ago.
The import volume of sunflower seeds is about 40,000 tons, a decrease of 23% year-on-year, and a decrease of 19% a week ago.
The import volume of soybean meal was about 2.77 million tons, a decrease of 2% year-on-year, and a decrease of 6% a week ago.
As for vegetable oil, the import volume of soybean oil was 130,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 149%, and an increase of 88% a week ago.
