SunSirs: China's Caustic Soda Production in August

According to data, national caustic soda production in August reached 3.6356 million tons, a month-on-month increase of 1.46%.
As of August 28, 2025, inventory at sample enterprises with a fixed liquid caustic soda production capacity of 200,000 tons or more nationwide stood at 379,600 tons (wet tons), a 4.25% decrease from the previous month and a 28.84% increase from the previous year.
As an integrated internet platform providing benchmark prices, on September 1, the benchmark price of caustic soda on SunSirs was 884.00 RMB/ton, a 2.67% increase from the beginning of the previous month (861.00 RMB/ton).
