SunSirs: China's Phenol Production Reached 472,000 Tons in August 2025

China's phenol production reached 472,000 tons in August 2025, an increase of 21,800 tons from July, a month-on-month increase of 4.84%. In August, eight phenol-ketone plants in China shut down for maintenance, affecting 1.34 million tons of phenol production capacity. The shut-down companies lost 80,200 tons of phenol. In addition, some units outside of the shutdowns were operating below full capacity. China's phenol production capacity base increased to 6.94 million tons in August.
