SunSirs: China's Stainless Steel Import and Export Statistics for July

According to Chinese customs data, in July 2025, domestic stainless steel imports were approximately 73,000 tons, a decrease of 36,500 tons (33.3%) from the previous month, and a decrease of 46,700 tons (39%) from the previous year.
Stainless steel exports were approximately 416,300 tons, an increase of 26,300 tons (6.7%) from the previous month, and an increase of 5,700 tons (1.4%) from the previous year. Net exports were approximately 343,200 tons, an increase of 62,800 tons (22.4%) from the previous month, and an increase of 52,400 tons (18%) from the previous year.
As an integrated internet platform providing benchmark prices .on August 21, the benchmark price of stainless steel on SunSirs was 13,237.50 RMB/ton, a 1.20% increase from 13,080 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month.
On August 21, the benchmark price of stainless steel coil on SunSirs was 13,066.67 RMB/ton, a 3.19% increase from 12,663.33 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month.
On August 21, the benchmark price of stainless steel plate on SunSirs was 12,200.00 RMB/ton, up 0.89% from the beginning of this month (12,092.86 RMB/ton).
