According to the SunSirs’ commodity market analysis system, the domestic isopropanol market price fell this week. The average price at the beginning of the week was 5,883.33 RMB/ton, and the average price at the weekend was 5,783.33 RMB/ton, a price decrease of 1.7%.
Analysis review
Isopropanol market prices declined last week. Lower prices for upstream raw material acetone provided limited support for the isopropanol market. Furthermore, the overall market conditions were sluggish, with weak demand and a prevalent wait-and-see attitude within the market. Trading activity was subdued, and firm trading was cautious. As of August 8, most quotations for isopropanol in Shandong were around 5,650-5,700 RMB/ton; in Jiangsu, they were around 5,800 RMB/ton.
