SunSirs: US Tire Imports Increased 6.8% Year-on-year in the First Half of 2025

The latest data shows that in the first half of 2025, the United States imported a total of 143.43 million tires, an increase of 6.8% year-on-year. Among them, the import of passenger car tires increased by 3% year-on-year to 84.89 million units; The import of truck tires increased by 10% year-on-year to 32.32 million pieces; Aircraft tires decreased by 13% year-on-year to 132,000; Motorcycle tires increased by 22% year-on-year to 1.88 million units; Bicycle tires increased by 5% year-on-year to 3.15 million.

In the first half of the year, the United States imported a total of 12.24 million tires from China, a year-on-year decrease of 4.4%. Among them, the number of passenger car tires decreased by 35% year-on-year to 510,000; The number of truck tires decreased by 16% year-on-year to 700,000.

In the first half of the year, the United States imported a total of 36.54 million tires from Thailand, a year-on-year increase of 12%. Among them, there were 22.16 million passenger car tires, a year-on-year increase of 9%; There were 8.42 million car tires on the truck, a year-on-year decrease of 1.3%.
