Price trend
On August 7th, domestic dysprosium and terbium rare earth prices declined. Recent on-exchange trading was generally flat. Terbium oxide prices fell by 50,000 RMB/ton to 6.975 million RMB/ton, while terbium metal prices were 8.825 million RMB/ton, dysprosium oxide prices were 1.61 million RMB/ton, dysprosium metal prices were 2.215 million RMB/ton, and dysprosium-iron alloy prices were 1.605 million RMB/ton.
Analysis review
The recent market conditions for new energy vehicles (NEVs) remained favorable, and downstream rare earth permanent magnet manufacturers were experiencing normal transaction volume. Recent downstream procurement was primarily based on demand, with new orders remaining modest. In the heavy rare earth market, dysprosium prices remained stable, while terbium prices were declining.
Market outlook
In the future, domestic dysprosium and terbium rare earth prices are expected to fluctuate.
