On March 4th, the commodity price index BPI was 905 points, a decrease of 1 point from yesterday, a decrease of 32.61% from the highest point of 1,343 points during the cycle (2021-10-19), and an increase of 37.12% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016.
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on March 4, 2025, there were a total of 28 commodities that showed a year-on-year increase in commodity prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical sector (17 in total) and the non-ferrous sector (6 in total). The top three commodities with the highest increase were sulfuric acid (4.78%), cobalt (3.67%), and isopropanol (1.48%). A total of 65 products showed a month on month decline, mainly concentrated in the chemical industry (21 in total) and rubber and plastic (8 in total), while the products with a decline of more than 5% were mainly concentrated in the textile sector; The top three products with a decline were acrylonitrile (-5.41%), phosphoric acid (wet process) (-3.27%), and polymeric MDI (-2.88%).
