SunSirs: The Price of Color Coated Sheet Tended to Stabilize This Week (February10-14)

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the price of color coated sheets has tended to stabilize this week. On February 10th, the market price of color coated sheet was 6,900 RMB/ton, and on February 14th, the price was 6,900 RMB/ton. The price has stabilized compared to last week and increased by 1.98% compared to the same period last year.

Analysis review

Galvanized sheet: The price of galvanized sheet has slightly decreased this week. On Friday (February 14th), the price of galvanized sheet was 4,460 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.268% from last week and 14.06% from the same period last year. The downstream demand in the coating market was lukewarm, and market transactions were relatively weak.

Market outlook

This week, the five major steel varieties supplied 8.1462 million tons, an increase of 59,900 tons or 0.9% compared to the previous week; The total inventory was 18.225 million tons, an increase of 1.5138 million tons on a week on week basis, with a growth rate of 9.1%; The weekly consumption was 6.6325 million tons, an increase of 15.2% compared to the previous period. Among them, the consumption of building materials increased by 22.0% compared to the previous period, and the consumption of sheet metal increased by 13.9% compared to the previous period.

Considering the arrival of the off-season, although most factories' costs continued to rise, their shipping mentality continued, and their offers remained strong at high levels. This week, most of the domestic facilities started working normally, but production and sales have not yet been balanced, and inventory was accumulating. It is expected that the price of color coated sheets will be stable in the short term.
