The January supply and demand data released by the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) shows that Malaysian palm oil inventories at the end of January 2025 were lower than market expectations, mainly due to lower than expected production.

The palm oil production in Malaysia in January was 123.7 tons, a decrease of 16.80% compared to the previous month.
