SunSirs: EU Plant Oilseed Import Forecast for 2024/25 Raised to 21.04 Million Tons

The European Commission slightly raised its import expectations for three types of plant oil seeds in its monthly report on February 3rd. The report states that the EU's expected import of plant oilseeds for 2024/25 has been raised to 21.04 million tons, higher than the previous forecast of 20.57 million tons and also higher than the previous year's 19.46 million tons. The oil seed pressing capacity has been increased to 44.13 million tons, higher than the previous forecast of 43.85 million tons, but lower than last year's 46.47 million tons.
