SunSirs: EU Plant Oilseed Production Reduced to 27.79 Million Tons in 2024/25

The European Commission slightly raised its import expectations for three types of plant oil seeds in its monthly report on February 3rd. The report states that the EU oilseed (rapeseed, sunflower seeds, and soybeans) production for 2024/25 has been reduced to 27.79 million tons, slightly lower than the last expected 27.8 million tons and lower than the previous year's 32.33 million tons. Among them, the rapeseed production was 16.91 million tons, which was the same as the last performance and lower than the previous year's 19.74 million tons; The soybean production remained unchanged at 2.84 million plant tons, slightly higher than the previous year's 2.79 million tons. The expected sunflower seed production has been slightly adjusted to 8.04 million tons, compared to the previous forecast of 8.05 million tons and 9.8 million tons last year.
