The Brazilian Association of Grain Exporters (ANEC) stated that Brazil's corn exports in February 2025 are estimated to be 1.03 million tons, lower than January's 3.15 million tons and the lowest monthly export volume since June 2024 (980,000 tons). As a comparison, the export volume in February 2024 was 720,000 tons.
Despite a decline in exports in the first few months of this year, ANEC predicts a year-on-year increase in corn exports for the full year of 2025, despite strong domestic consumption due to the expansion of domestic ethanol factories. ANEC expects corn exports to reach 42 million tons by 2025. As a comparison, Brazil's corn exports in 2024 were 37.81 million tons, a 32% decrease from the record breaking 55.56 million tons in 2023.
