SunSirs: Copper Closed Higher on January 17th
January 20 2025 10:47:33     SunSirs (John)On January 17th, the price of copper futures in Shanghai rose slightly. The main contract 2503 closed at 76,540 RMB/ton, up 630 RMB/ton, or 0.83%. At 3:00 pm on the same day, the March copper price in London was 9,264.00 US dollars per ton, and the ratio of Shanghai to London was 8.26, lower than the previous trading day's 8.27. The increase in Shanghai copper futures was smaller than that in the London market.
All contracts were traded in 133,423 lots, with a decrease of 2,845 lots in holdings to 427,083 lots. The main contract sold 62,606 lots, and the position increased by 4,278 lots to 170,790 lots.
