On December 25th, the commodity price index BPI was 884 points, unchanged from yesterday, a decrease of 34.18% from the highest point of 1,343 points during the cycle (2021-10-19), and an increase of 33.94% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016.
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on December 25, 2024, a total of 35 commodities showed a year-on-year increase in their prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical industry sector (8 in total) and the agricultural and sideline sector (6 in total). The top 3 commodities with the highest increase were acrylic acid (2.10%), Brent crude oil (1.31%), and soybean oil (1.27%). There were a total of 31 products that experienced a month on month decline, mainly in the chemical industry (11 in total) and steel (6 in total). The top 3 products with the highest decline were caustic soda (-2.30%), n-propanol (-1.75%), and nylon DTY (-1.61%).
