On December 19th, the commodity price index BPI was 884 points, a decrease of 2 points from yesterday, a decrease of 34.18% from the highest point of the cycle at 1,343 points (2021-10-19), and an increase of 33.94% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016.
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on December 19, 2024, there were a total of 14 commodities that showed a year-on-year increase in commodity prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical sector (5 in total) and the energy sector (4 in total). The top 3 commodities with the highest increase were bisphenol A (4.02%), butadiene (3.71%), and toluene (2.20%). There are a total of 50 products that have experienced a month on month decline, concentrated in non-ferrous metals (17 in total) and chemicals (13 in total). The top 3 products with the highest decline are silver (-2.81%), praseodymium metal (-2.71%), and soybean oil (-2.05%).
