On October 23, the commodity price index BPI was 895 points, up 3 points from yesterday, down 33.36% from the highest point of the cycle at 1,343 points (2021-10-19), and up 35.61% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3, 2016.
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on October 23, 2024, there were a total of 45 commodities that showed a year-on-year increase in commodity prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical sector (17 in total) and the non-ferrous sector (7 in total). Commodities with an increase of more than 5% were mainly concentrated in the chemical sector; The top three products with the highest increase are sulfuric acid (10.60%), rapeseed meal (2.70%), and 1,4-butanediol (2.63%). There were a total of 27 products that experienced a month on month decline, concentrated in steel (8 in total) and chemical industry (6 in total). The top 3 products with the highest decline were ferrosilicon (-3.42%), acetic acid (-1.67%), and liquid ammonia (-1.22%).
