SunSirs: China Exported 10.153 Million Tons of Steel in September 2024

According to the data of the General Administration of Customs, China exported 10.153 million tons of steel in September 2024, an increase of 658,000 tons from the previous month, a month-on-month increase of 6.9%; the cumulative export of steel from January to September was 80.711 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 21.2%. In September, China imported 554,000 tons of steel, an increase of 45,000 tons from the previous month, a month-on-month increase of 8.8%; the cumulative import of steel from January to September was 5.185 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 9.2%. In September, China imported 104.132 million tons of iron ore and its concentrates, an increase of 2.742 million tons from the previous month, a month-on-month increase of 2.7%; the cumulative import of iron ore and its concentrates from January to September was 918.866 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.9%.
