September 11 2024 14:30:52     SunSirs (John)According to data from the General Administration of Customs on September 10th, China exported 9.495 million tons of steel in August 2024, an increase of 1.668 million tons from the previous month and a month on month increase of 21.3%; From January to August, the cumulative export of steel reached 70.575 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 20.6%. In August, China imported 509,000 tons of steel, an increase of 4,000 tons from the previous month and a month on month increase of 0.8%; From January to August, the cumulative import of steel reached 4.631 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 8.4%. In August, China imported 101.39 million tons of iron ore and concentrate, a decrease of 1.423 million tons from the previous month and a decrease of 1.4% compared to the previous month; From January to August, a total of 814.952 million tons of iron ore and concentrate were imported, a year-on-year increase of 5.2%.
