On March 12th, the commodity price index (BPI) was at 943 points, unchanged from yesterday, a decrease of 29.78% from the highest point of 1,343 points in the cycle (2021-10-19), and an increase of 42.88% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016. (Note: The cycle refers to 2011-12-01 present)
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on March 12, 2024, there were a total of 53 commodities with a month on month increase in the list of commodity prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical sector (21 types in total) and the rubber and plastic sector (9 types in total). Commodities with a price increase of more than 5% were mainly concentrated in the agricultural and sideline sectors; The top three products with the highest increase are DDGS (5.50%), vitamin C (2.91%), and aniline (2.44%). There are a total of 70 commodities with a month on month decline, concentrated in chemical industry (26 in total) and steel (14 in total). The top three commodities with a decline are Ophiopogon japonicus (-3.53%), Flos Lonicerae (-3.39%), and Ammonium Nitrate (-2.46%). The average daily increase and decrease is -0.04%.
