SunSirs: An Increase in Inventory, China Egg Prices Decreased

February 06 2024 10:12:49     SunSirs (Selena)

According to the monitoring of the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the price of eggs at the beginning of this week was 8.45 RMB/kg, and the price of eggs at the end of this week was 8.30 RMB/kg, a decrease of 1.78%.

At present, the price of eggs is stable but weak, and the inventory of laying hens is showing an increasing trend. The overall performance of egg supply continues to be loose, and some market inventories continue to be under pressure, which has a negative impact on egg prices. The breeding end has a slight profit, and as the Spring Festival approaches, production areas are gradually shifting from export to domestic sales, resulting in an increase in domestic sales. However, the demand for replenishment in food processing plants is decreasing, and the demand for centralized procurement in schools is shrinking. Downstream links are mostly purchased on demand, and there are not many stocking plans, Overall, there is still a situation of "supply exceeding demand", and the overall market for eggs is limited.

The rainy and snowy weather in many northern regions is favorable for terminal hoarding, and domestic sales in production areas continue to be preferred. The trade process is mainly focused on clearing inventory. As domestic stocking is nearing its end, some traders plan to take early holidays and close the market. Due to weather factors, export sales in production areas such as Northeast China, Hebei, and Henan are hindered, resulting in an increase in inventory in the aquaculture environment; The arrival of goods in the southern sales area continues to decrease, while transportation costs increase due to a shortage of goods.

The egg market is gradually closed for holidays, and it is expected that egg prices will mainly fluctuate weakly next week.
