Price trend

According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the average ex factory price of Shanxi light potassium carbonate, including tax, was 7,480.00 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week. The price dropped by 1.46% compared to the previous year, and the price had dropped by 18.24% year-on-year.

Analysis review

The price of potassium carbonate had fallen this week. From the above chart, it can be seen that the potassium carbonate market had mainly experienced a slight decline in the past two months, and this week's market continued to decline slightly. The market price of raw material potassium chloride had declined, with poor cost support. Downstream demand generally maintains rigid procurement, and market transactions are light. The market for potassium carbonate continued to decline. According to statistics from SunSirs, the mainstream ex factory quotation range for industrial grade potassium carbonate in China this week was around 7,200-7,400 RMB/ton (for reference only), and the quotation varied depending on the procurement situation.

Recently, the domestic market for potassium chloride and potassium chloride had declined. The prices of potassium chloride in Saltlake and Zangge were temporarily stable. The downstream market of potassium chloride had slightly declined, and downstream demand had weakened, with rigid demand procurement being the main focus. The circulation of potassium chloride was tight, and the supply of goods at the port had slightly increased. SunSirs' potassium chloride analyst believes that domestic potassium chloride import prices may slightly decline in the short term.

Market outlook

Recently, the domestic potassium fertilizer market had been weak and consolidating, with poor cost support and flat potassium carbonate shipments. It is expected that the potassium carbonate market will mainly experience a slight decline in the short term. The long-term market still needs to be watched.
