Analysis review

The price of potassium carbonate had fallen this week. From the above chart, it can be seen that the potassium carbonate market had mainly experienced a slight decline in the past two months, and this week's market continued to decline slightly. The market price of potassium chloride on the cost side had declined, with poor cost support. Downstream demand generally maintained rigid procurement, and new orders were still limited. The market for potassium carbonate continued to decline. According to statistics from SunSirs, the mainstream ex factory quotation range for industrial grade potassium carbonate in China this week was around 7,200-7,400 RMB/ton (for reference only), and the quotation varied depending on the procurement situation.

Recently, the domestic market trend of potassium chloride and potassium chloride experienced a slight fluctuation and decline, with consolidation being the main trend. As of January 5th, the price of 62% white potassium chloride in ports was mostly between 2,720-2,780 RMB/ton. The prices of potassium chloride in Saltlake and Zangge were temporarily stable, and the market situation was average. Downstream agricultural demand was average, industrial demand weakened, and the price of potassium chloride may fluctuate and fall in the future.

Market outlook

In recent times, the domestic potassium fertilizer market had been in a chaotic trend, with a decrease in potassium chloride prices and poor cost support. It is expected that the potassium carbonate market will mainly experience a slight decline in the short term, and the long-term market still needs to be watched.
