DOP prices fluctuated and fell this week

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, as of September 20, the price of DOP was 11,350 RMB/ton, a decrease of 2.02% compared to the price of 11,584.17 RMB/ton on September 13. The prices of raw materials decreased, the cost of plasticizers decreased, and the stock preparation before the Double Festival had basically ended. The demand for plasticizers was weak, and the price of plasticizer DOP fluctuated and decreased this week.

The price of 2-EH fluctuated and fell this week

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the price of 2-EH on September 20th was 11,860 RMB/ton, a decrease of 3.89% compared to the price of 12,340 RMB/ton on September 13th. The construction of domestic 2-EH units had resumed, with sufficient supply of 2-EH and the basic end of stocking for the Double Festival. Downstream procurement enthusiasm was average, and inventory of 2-EH had accumulated, causing prices of 2-EH to fluctuate and fall.

The market of raw material PA fluctuated and rose

According to the market analysis system for PA products by SunSirs, as of September 20th, the quotation for PA produced by the OX method was 8,850 RMB/ton, an increase of 2.02% compared to the price of PA on September 13th, which was 8,675 RMB/ton. The price of crude oil had fluctuated significantly, the price of OX had increased, the price of raw materials had increased, the willingness of PA to stand up had increased, and the price of PA had increased. However, downstream procurement enthusiasm was poor, and there was a significant resistance to high priced PA. In the future, the price of PA will be mainly stable.

Market outlook

Plasticizer product data analysts from SunSirs believe that in terms of raw materials, the prices of 2-EH had fluctuated and fallen, while the prices of PA had risen weakly, resulting in a decrease in the DOP cost of plasticizer products; PVC prices had fluctuated and fallen, with poor purchasing enthusiasm for downstream PVC and weak demand for plasticizers. In the future, against the backdrop of weak supply and demand of plasticizers, costs have decreased and demand support is insufficient. It is expected that the price of plasticizer DOP will fluctuate and fall.
