According to the bulk list data of SunSirs, the domestic PC market rose in August, with overall spot prices of various brands rising. As of August 31st, the mixed benchmark price of Shangshang Society PC is around 17,000 RMB/ton, with a decrease of +8.86% compared to the beginning of the month.

In terms of raw materials, the domestic bisphenol A market fell first and then rose in August. Starting from the middle of the year, the supply side has been supported by positive factors, with mainstream factories mainly delivering pre contract orders. The limited amount of resources circulating to the market has led to little pressure on traders to ship, which has led to an upward trend. Traders have actively adjusted their prices with factories. The support for the PC market is acceptable.

In terms of supply: In August, the overall operating rate of domestic PCs decreased, and the overall industry load was below 70%. Starting from the middle of the year, some enterprises have entered maintenance, and the supply of goods on site has tightened. The factory price of enterprises has increased significantly, providing strong support for spot prices.

In terms of demand: In August, downstream PC buyers just need to maintain production, and under the influence of multiple positive factors, there is a certain upward trend among the operators. The current operating position of terminal enterprises is maintained, and the actual stock situation is limited to improve, providing general support for spot prices.

The PC market rose significantly in August. The upstream market for bisphenol A is relatively strong, which provides reasonable support for PC costs. The load of domestic polymerization plants has decreased, and the spot supply in the market is relatively abundant. Traders have a strong mentality, and their prices tend to rise, while downstream enterprises have insufficient follow-up on consumption. However, the PC anti-dumping ruling from the Ministry of Commerce will be implemented within the month, and the market continues to be boosted by this policy. In addition, as we enter the traditional peak demand season, it is expected that the PC market may continue to show a strong trend in the short term.
