According to the commodity analysis system of SunSirs, the price of isobutyraldehyde in the domestic market rose slightly this week. This week, the average price of isobutyraldehyde in the domestic mainstream market rose from 7,200.00 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week to 7,333.33 RMB/ton at the end of the week, up 1.85%. Weekend prices fell by 7.56% year-on-year.

On July 17, the isobutyraldehyde commodity index was 37.56 points, up 0.33 points from the previous day, down 64.43% from the cycle's highest point of 105.58 (2021-09-16), and up 24.70% from the lowest point of 30.12 on October 7, 2022. Analysis review

From the supply side, the quotation of isobutyraldehyde mainstream manufacturers rose slightly this week, and the inventory was low. The ex factory quotation of Lihuayi’s isobutyraldehyde at the weekend was 7,200 RMB/ton, which was 100 RMB/ton higher than that at the beginning of the week; The ex factory quotation of Hualu Hengsheng’s isobutyraldehyde at the weekend was 7,600 RMB/ton, which was 100 RMB/ton higher than that at the beginning of the week; The Isobutyraldehyde produced by Luxi Chemical, distributed by Shandong Zhenkun, was quoted at 7,200 RMB/ton over the weekend, up 200 RMB/ton compared with the beginning of the week.

From the perspective of upstream and downstream industrial chains, the propylene market in the upstream raw material market of isobutyraldehyde rose slightly this week, with the price rising from 6,370.75 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week to 6,520.75 RMB/ton at the end of the week, up 2.35%. Weekend prices fell 14.59% year-on-year. The price of upstream raw material market rose slightly, and the cost support increased. Affected by the supply and demand side, the price of isobutyraldehyde was positively affected. From the downstream industry chain, the market price of neopentyl glycol was adjusted at a low level, and the market price was 9,566.67 RMB/ton. The market of neopentyl glycol was temporarily stable, and the downstream demand was general, which had a negative impact on isobutyraldehyde.

In late July, the market trend of isobutyraldehyde may rise in shock. The upstream propylene market rose slightly, and the cost support increased.
