According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the reference average price of CPL in China was 11,066 RMB/ton on January 1, and the reference average price of CPL in China was 12,097 RMB/ton on June 30. The price of CPL in China rose 9.31% in the first half of 2013.

Analysis review

In the first half of 2023, the price of CPL market rose and fell with each other, and fluctuated after a strong rise. The market price of CPL rose sharply in January. The price of raw material pure benzene increased, and cost support strengthened. The spot supply of CPL market was tight, and the price of CPL rose accordingly. CPL prices fell in February and March. The price of raw material pure benzene fell, the cost support weakened, and the supply of CPL in the spot market increased. In April, the cost support was strengthened due to the rise in the price of raw material pure benzene, and the market price of CPL rose again with the raw material. The downstream PA6 market was improving, and procurement demand was increasing. The market supply of CPL was reduced due to the maintenance of some enterprises. The price of CPL fluctuated and dropped in May and June. The price of raw material pure benzene continued to decline, and cost support was insufficient. The market supply was relatively stable and the supply and demand were relatively balanced. Downstream demand performance was insufficient, procurement was more cautious, and the market transactions wer mostly at low prices.

According to the K column chart from January to June 2023, the price of CPL in China rose and fell in the first half of the year. It can be seen the highest increase in January, with a maximum increase of 14.76%. The largest decline was in February, with a maximum decline of 4.94%.

Market outlook

CPL analysts from SunSirs believe that the price of raw material pure benzene rose recently, and the cost side support was good, and the price of CPL had risen. Downstream demand began to follow up, but there may be an increase in supply in the later stages. It is expected that the price of CPL will be mainly consolidated in the short term.
