The IPA market slightly increased this week. As of 25th, the market situation was average. The upstream acetone market price rose first and then fell, while the price of propylene rose, and cost support was still acceptable. Downstream procurement remained cautious, mainly got orders according to need, and many businesses maintained a wait-and-see attitude. Overall, it was relatively stagnant. As of 25th, the majority of quotations for IPA in the Shandong region were around 6,200-6,500 RMB/ton; The majority of prices for IPA in the Jiangsu and Zhejiang regions were around 6,700-7,000 RMB/ton.

In terms of raw acetone, the upstream acetone market price rose first and then fell this week. The average price of acetone at the beginning of the week was 5,550 RMB/ton, while the average price on Sunday was 5,482.5 RMB/ton. The price was reduced by 1.22%. This week, downstream demand for acetone was average, and the market atmosphere was relatively weak, resulting in a decline in prices.

In terms of propylene, according to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the domestic propylene (Shandong) market had slightly increased this week. The average price of the Shandong market at the beginning of the week was 6,243.25 RMB/ton, and the average price on Sunday was 6,425.75 RMB/ton, with a weekly increase of 2.92%. Propylene analysts from SunSirs believe that due to the low price of propylene and the active entry of downstream markets, the market trading atmosphere had improved, and the inventory pressure of propylene enterprises had relatively decreased, and the price slightly increased. It is expected that the propylene market will consolidate in the short term.
