In May, the domestic PA6 market stabilized first and then fell, with spot prices generally decreasing. According to data monitoring from SunSirs, as of May 31, the average factory price of PA6 in China was 13,525 RMB/ton, a decrease of 3.22% compared to the average price level at the beginning of the month.

Analysis review

In terms of raw materials:

It can be seen from the above figure that CPL was sorted in shock in May. The overall price of raw material pure benzene had decreased, and cost support continued to weaken. The load of CPL industry decreased in the middle of the month, and picked up at the end of the month, and the supply side support weakened. At the same time, downstream demand was weak, with more low-priced purchases and cautious wait-and-see as the main focus. It is expected that CPL market price will mainly be consolidated to be weaker in the short term.

On the supply side:

In May, the overall load of domestic PA6 production enterprises remained relatively stable, operating in a narrow range of around 70%. The market supply was stable, the inventory position was gradually increasing, the supplier's support for spot goods was average, and factory pricing was loosened.

In terms of demand:

Downstream, the weaving and spinning industries had a average load. The actual trading was generally concentrated in low-end spot goods. The overall atmosphere of stocking on site was cautious, with no improvement in the situation of new orders. Buyers were resistant to high priced sources, and the overall demand for PA6 chips was average.

Market outlook

The PA6 market fell after a stalemate in May. The load of domestic polymerization plants was stable, and the supply remained sufficient. In terms of demand, it was average, and stocking tended towards low-priced sources. The price of CPL fell back after rising, and the cost end support for PA6 was general. It is expected that the PA6 market may continue to be weak in the short term.
