SunSirs: The N-propanol Market Was Weak and Declined This Week (May 12-19)

May 22 2023 15:00:43     SunSirs (John)

Price trend

According to the price monitoring data of SunSirs, as of May 18, 2023, the reference price of domestic n-propanol was 7,700 RMB/ton. Compared with May 12, 2023 (the reference price of n-propanol was 7,866 RMB/ton), the price was reduced by 166 RMB/ton, a decrease of 2.12%.

Analysis review

From the data monitoring chart of SunSirs, it can be seen that this week (5.12-5.19), the domestic n-propanol market as a whole showed a weak decline. This week, the overall market situation of n-propanol in Shandong Province showed a downward trend. Some n-propanol suppliers adjusted the price of n-propanol downward by 200-300 RMB/ton. The difference between the high price and low price of n-propanol in Shandong had widened. As of May 18, the domestic market price of n-propanol in Shandong was around 7,000-7,800 RMB/ton, and the domestic market of n-propanol in Nanjing was still operating steadily. Dealers in different regions still had reservations about prices, and the difficulty in monitoring prices may lead to differences in specific negotiation situations. Each region also had differences, and actual orders are mainly negotiated.

Market outlook

As of the 19th, the trading atmosphere in the domestic n-propanol market was mild, with the downstream market of n-propanol mainly purchasing according to volume, and the new orders were commonly traded. SunSirs’ propanol data analyst believes that in the short term, the domestic propanol market is likely to adjust and operate within a certain range, and the specific trend still needs to pay more attention to changes in supply and demand information.
