Recently, the domestic PA6 market experienced significant stability and slight fluctuations, with various spot prices being mixed. According to data monitoring from SunSirs, as of April 21, the average factory price of PA6 in China was 14,075 RMB/ton, an increase of 1.81% compared to the average price level at the beginning of the month.

Analysis review

In terms of raw materials:

It can be seen from the figure above that the price of CPL market rose this week. The price of raw material pure benzene rebounded in the early stage, and cost support strengthened. In addition, the maintenance plan of CPL industry had increased, the load was expected to decline, and the supply side supported the market. Downstream procurement was just in needed, and operation was mainly cautious. CPL is expected to rise in the short term, and the support for PA6 is acceptable.

On the supply side:

This week, the overall load of domestic PA6 production enterprises was around 73%, showing a sideways trend. The market supply was stable, the inventory position had slightly increased, the supplier's support for spot goods was average, and the factory price pricing was narrowly loosened.

In terms of demand:

Downstream, the load of the weaving and spinning industries was acceptable. As May Day approaching, pre holiday stocking operations were gradually increasing, and actual trading was generally concentrated in low-end spot goods. The atmosphere of stocking in the market was cautious, and buyers were resistant to high priced sources. Overall, the demand for PA6 chips was fair.

Market outlook

This week, the PA6 market saw a narrow decline. The load of domestic polymerization plants was stable, and the supply remained sufficient. In terms of demand, it was acceptable, but the stock was biased towards low-priced sources. CPL operated at a high price, and PA6 cost support was acceptable. The market was generally balanced. It is expected that the PA6 market may rise in the short term due to cost support.
