According to data monitoring by SunSirs, as of April 13, 2023, the reference average price of 30% grade phosphate rock in China was around 1,106 RMB/ton; Compared to April 9, 2023 (reference price of phosphate rock was 1,110 RMB/ton), the price was reduced by 4 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.36%; Compared to April 1, 2023 (reference price of phosphate rock was 1,118 RMB/ton), the price was reduced by 12 RMB/ton, a decrease of 1.07%.

Analysis review

From the data monitoring chart of SunSirs, it can be seen that this week (4.09-4.13), the overall market situation of domestic phosphate rock was slightly weak and moving downwards. This week, the overall downstream demand side of the domestic phosphate rock market had shown a weakening trend. Due to the weak and downward trend of the downstream phosphorus yellow market, the trading atmosphere in the phosphorus yellow market was light, and the demand support for phosphate rock from below was loosened. Therefore, some phosphate rock enterprises in Yunnan region continued to adjust phosphate rock prices downward this week, with a decrease of around 10-50 RMB/ton. As of April 13, the domestic market price of 30% grade phosphate rock was around 1,050-1,150 RMB/ton, and the price of 28% grade phosphate rock was around 960-990 RMB/ton. The reference price for 32% grade phosphate rock was around 1,180-1,220 RMB/ton. Due to factors such as the original ore specifications and powder to lump ratio, there was a specific price difference, which needed to be negotiated on a real order basis.

Market outlook

On the 13th, due to the weak operation of downstream phosphorus yellow, the trading atmosphere in the phosphate rock field was light, and new orders for phosphate rock in Yunnan region were commonly traded.
