SunSirs: Since February, the N-propanol Market Had Fluctuated Slightly (February 1-23)

February 24 2023 14:23:51     SunSirs (John)

Price trend

According to the price monitoring data of SunSirs, as of February 23, 2023, the price of domestic n-propanol was referenced at 8,000 RMB/ton. Compared with February 3, 2023 (the reference price of n-propanol was 8,066 RMB/ton), the price was reduced by 66 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.83%.

Analysis review

It can be seen from the monitoring chart of the data of SunSirs that the domestic n-propanol market had been in a slight decline in the overall fluctuation since February (2.03-2.23). At the beginning of February, the recovery of downstream demand for n-propanol was relatively slow, and the price of n-propanol was lowered by Shandong large factories, which led to the weak market as a whole. In the middle of February, the market of n-propanol recovered slightly, but the downstream digested the raw materials in the early stage. The new orders on the market were light, and the demand support was weak. In late February, the market price of n-propanol was reduced in a narrow range. As of February 23, the market price of n-propanol in Shandong Province was around 7,350-7,700 RMB/ton (bulk). The market price of n-propanol in Nanjing was around 8,500-9,000 RMB/ton.

Dealers in different regions had reservations about the price, and the price was not easy to monitor, which might lead to differences in the specific negotiation situation. There were also differences in each region, and the actual order was based on negotiation.

Market outlook

As of the 23rd, the downstream demand for n-propanol was still gradually released. With the warming of the weather, the demand for terminal downstream will continue to rise. The n-propanol statistician of SunSirs believes that in the short term, the domestic market for n-propanol is mainly stable and small changes, and the specific trend needs to pay more attention to the changes in the supply and demand information.
