According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, the price of viscose staple fiber rose slightly last week (January 30 - February 5, 2023). As of February 5, 2023, the ex-factory price of 1.2D * 38mm viscose staple fiber in China was 13,260 RMB/ton; The price was 40 RMB/ton higher than last week.

The price of rayon yarn rose slightly, with the average ex-factory price of 17,633 RMB/ton as of February 5, 2023 (30S, ring spinning, first class), up 167 RMB/ton from last week's price.

Analysis review

Last week (January 30-February 5, 2023), after the return of the Spring Festival holiday, the price trend of viscose staple fiber was relatively strong, and the overall price rose slightly. The spot resources in circulation on the market were tight, and the finished goods inventory of the downstream rayon yarn and grey cloth enterprises was low. The viscose staple fiber market took the opportunity to push up the delivery price. However, from the perspective of market transactions, although the downstream enterprises had returned to the market and resumed work, the raw material inventory of rayon yarn enterprises was relatively abundant. Under the wait-and-see mood, the enthusiasm of market entry operation was not high.
