SunSirs: The Overall N-propanol Market Fluctuated and Fell (January 01-06)

January 11 2023 11:08:01     SunSirs (John)

Price trend

According to the price monitoring data of SunSirs, as of January 6, 2023, the reference price of domestic n-propanol was 8,316 RMB/ton, which was down by 100 RMB/ton, or 1.19%, compared with that of January 1, 2023 (8,416 RMB/ton).

Analysis review

It can be seen from the data monitoring chart of SunSirs that since January (1.1-1.06), the domestic n-propanol market had been in a volatile and downward movement as a whole. During the festival, the downstream demand was general, the trading atmosphere of n-propanol was light, and the overall market fell slightly. After the festival, the price of n-propanol in Shandong's big factories was adjusted by a narrow margin, driving the market of n-propanol in Shandong to move up and down by a range of 100-200 RMB/ton. The overall n-propanol market in Nanjing was stable. As of January 6, 2022, the market price of n-propanol in Shandong Province in China was around 7,500-8,500 RMB/ton, and the difference between high and low prices in the market was large. The price of n-propanol in barrels was around 9,300-9,500 RMB/ton. The dealers in different regions had reservations about the price. The price was difficult to monitor, which may led to differences in the specific negotiations. There were also differences in each region. The actual negotiation shall prevailed.

Market outlook

As of the 6th, domestic logistics had been shut down in succession, and downstream users who needed to replenish and stock up had basically completed the operation. The n-propanol data engineer of SunSirs believes that in the short term, the possibility of significant changes in the domestic n-propanol market is limited, and the market is likely to operate mainly in the range of shocks. More attention should be paid to the news changes on the supply and demand side in the specific trend.
