According to the data monitored by SunSirs, the price of waste paper in Zhejiang fell sharply last week. On January 6, the average purchase price of grade A waste yellowboard in Zhejiang was 1,830 RMB/ton, down 6.35% compared with the average price of 1954 RMB/ton on January 1. The price of corrugated paper remained stable. On January 6, the average ex factory price of 140g corrugated base paper was 3,204 RMB/ton, which was stable compared with the average price on January 1.

According to the observation of market changes, after the New Year's holiday, the domestic waste paper price showed a downward trend. On January 5, the domestic waste paper price fell from south to north, and on January 6, the decline continued to expand, and the waste paper purchase price fell below the low price. At present, with the approaching of the Spring Festival holiday and the impact of the opening of the epidemic situation, the operating rate of paper mills in various parts of the country has declined significantly, the waste paper inventory of paper mills is relatively high, and the stock situation is basically completed, so the demand for waste paper has decreased significantly.

In terms of the price of corrugated base paper, after the New Year's Day holiday, the price of corrugated paper remained stable. At present, affected by the opening of the epidemic situation, the operating rate of most domestic paper mills has declined, and the downtime of paper mills has also increased, but the inventory of paper mills is relatively stable. However, the downstream packaging market was basically completed years ago, and the market demand remained weak, so the price of corrugated base paper was mainly stable.

According to the paper analysts of SunSirs, with the approaching of the Spring Festival holiday, the upstream and downstream of the papermaking industry are in a low operating state, and the market demand is declining. It is expected that the short-term price of waste paper and corrugated paper will be weak in China.
